Our Philosophy

 

The word "Oliopera" is the combination of the two words "Olio" (oil) and Opera (opera).

The production of this particular olive oil is inspired by the harmony of an opera.

 

It's a perfectly composed blend of a voice of nature, chanted by selected Tunisian olive fields, and a melodious

and modern orchestra of established production processes.

 

Oliopera is made from the finest hand-picked olives from our family fields in the region of Kairouan, situated in central Tunisia, an area with perfect soil and climate conditions.

 

After a careful transport to our mill, the olives are cold pressed solely by mechanical methods

to produce a premium olive oil rich in nutrients, antioxidants and flavor.

 

 Oliopera has a balanced, soft aroma and a subtle sweetness, followed by pleasant and harmonious spicy notes.


 

Who we are

 

In the center of Tunisia, right in the countryside of the small village of Sidi Amor Bouhajla, is situated our family business "SEHO".

 

The prevailing climate has a particularly beneficial effect on the prosperity of the olives on the ancient trees. The tradition of olive growing and the secrets of harvesting and processing the olives has always been anchored in this region and has been passed on to us by our grandparents.

 

We take great care of our trees by applying the simple agricultural practices of the past without using chemical substances. This way not only a natural olive oil is made, but also an authentic oil that is expressed by its flavors and tenderness and intensified by its power. The olives that produce this excellent olive oil are called "Chemlali" and "Ouesleti", which are harvested on the early mornings of the November month and cold-pressed on the same afternoons.

 

A very low acidity characterizes the organoleptic properties of Oliopera, which guarantees both quality and durability. This olive oil contains substances and elements that are important for our health. Oleic acid, Tocopherol that is a powerful antioxidant, Carotene and vitamin E have a preventive effect against aging and degenerative diseases.

 

The Hamdaoui family has a strong desire to reconcile tradition, science and experience through regular exchanges in specific networks with regional and international olive oil masters, who share their passion for

quality, traditions and sustainable agriculture.
